A Catholic church is much more than a building. It is the home of a parish, a community of people engaged in living prayer, faith-filled service and ongoing conversion. The Eucharist is the source and center of the life of a parish. The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Peter’s in Lowville, New York, a faith-community since 1865, welcomes you. Over these pages you will recognize the Church gathered and scattered. The Church gathers in our sacramental life, our Christian faith formation programs, the various meetings of councils and committees and our social life. The Church scatters throughout the local community in the various ministries embraced in the name of Jesus Christ and the service of our neighbor.
In the
name of the parishioners of
St. Peter’s, St. Mary’s, St. Hedwig’s, and St. Thomas’, I invite you to
make your faith-home with us. May the Lord give you his peace.
